During the summer, a team from the magazine accompanied divisions of the police, gendarmes, fire fighters and medical emergency crews of Cap d’Agde, a tourist destination highly esteemed by the French. Immersion into the world of the men and women who ensure safety and provide assistance for holidaymakers come to enjoy the sun, the sea and the beach. In July and August, Cap d’Agde has 250,000 “inhabitants” as opposed to 20,000 in winter. So the town is under close surveillance. Because nobody us immune to drowning, an absent-minded motorist, a drunken truck driver, seasonal burglars or even assault.
