January 11, 2023. For the past 2 months, the disappearance of Leslie, 21, and her partner Kevin, 20, has been making the headlines. Their families are worried sick. By telephone, Patrick Hoorelbeke, Leslie’s father, talks to his aunt, Marie-Thèrèse Garcia. And this is what she had to say about those who had attacked the young couple.

“It’s better (for the gendarmes) to catch them before we know who it is… Because I’m going to take them away but in pieces, in a suitcase.”

Marie Thérèse gets carried away, and the gendarmes who have bugged the whole family are not missing a beat: for years, they have suspected the septuagenarian of being involved in the murder of Corinne Di Dio. The 37-year-old mother of a family whose dismembered body was found in a suitcase at the bottom of the Seine in 1995… For them, Marie Thérèse’s thunderous declarations sound like an admission of guilt!

But despite being held in police custody and placed in pre-trial detention, the woman continues to proclaim her innocence, and has repeatedly asked to be released.

So, was it a simple coincidence, clumsy words or a hidden confession? Is the thirty-year-old judicial enigma about to be solved ?
