Australia is the second most developed country in the world, especially the south and the east, because the north and the center remain wild. Two different life concepts compete with each other: that of the English colonists, who arrived in the 19^th century and who are constantly expanding ever further, and that of the Aboriginal Australians, the first inhabitants of the island-continent. To link these two worlds, giant trucks endlessly crisscross the most remote roads and tracks of the southern continent. They call them road trains. Ever since the 1930s, generations of intrepid drivers have been taking these mastodons at full speed over the rutted tracks of the Outback. These ancestral lands, the Gibson Desert and the untouched coasts of Arnhem Land, are a paradise preserved from the modern world. This is where the members of the Yolngu tribe continue their resistance by carrying on their customs and culture, which date back more than 50,000 years.
