BAKER-PASTRY CHEF: A PROFESSION OF THE FUTURE | M6 | 66 minutes

There are 9,000 vacancies to be filled in the demanding world of the baker-pastry chef. To practise this demanding, but passion-inspiring profession some are lucky enough to be accepted into a top school: the National Institute of Bakery-Pastry Making INBP International. They call it simply the ‘Institute’ with its 4,800 square metres of kitchens, ovens and professional equipment. Of international repute, each year 2,500 apprentices are trained within its walls in Rouen. They come from France but also from abroad. An in-depth report with the expert students studying for their professional certificate and with those taking the exam to obtain the professional certificate of tourier, a specialist in pastries and desserts.
