It’s the most watched food event in the USA! From November 8 to 12, the 11th World Burger Championship will be held in Dallas. Whether they’re French, Portuguese, Argentinean, Australian, Moroccan or American… The 27 chefs selected for the competition will face off in a number of events.

Product selection, flavor balance, meat cooking, recipe originality, visual appeal and even stress management. For each of them, this event represents a real professional springboard. “It changes your life !

This year, Benoît Sanchez and his sidekick Joannes Richard are hoping to win a medal! Last year, the two made it all the way to the final. This year, for the semi-final, the two chefs have to work with a brioche bun, imposed by the competition. So they decided to go for an Argentinian burger.

And for the grand final, they’ve planned a Norman-style burger, in a nod to the American landings.

To stack the odds in their favor, Benoit and Joannes have enlisted the help of several Michelin-starred French chefs based in the USA…
