On the peninsula of Parata, Isabelle, Martin and their two daughters, Alice and Mia, flock to admire the bloodthirsty islands. Under the sun of this late afternoon, this piece of land between sky and sea seems to be on fire.

They are part of the 120 cruise passengers, who in this month of July criss-cross the steep coasts of one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean: Corsica. These tourists, mostly made up of couples and a few families, are preparing to discover life on board a ship on a human scale for a week. But also the folklore of this region of France so colorful.

At sea, no giant slides… But cocktails at sunset and entertainment on the theme of Corsica. On land, on the program: tasting of typical dishes in an inn in the south of the island of beauty, concert of polyphonic songs, meeting a shepherd and a winegrower. Cruise passengers will access the most popular Corsican sites, with less traffic jams… They will be able to stroll through the alleys of old Ajaccio, the “coral city”, or even walk along the Gulf of Porto, listed as a UNESCO heritage site.

For this trip, passengers can count on Stéphane, purser and handyman, and the 75 crew members. The world of cruising no longer holds any secrets for this 50-something. The man takes care of every detail, because on the water more than on land, the dream stay must take place in complete safety. In his task, he is assisted by a close-knit team. Virginie, 42 years old, guide-lecturer, knows the island like the back of her hand and must help people discover it, avoiding the denser crowds each summer. Léa, a 23-year-old receptionist, just out of school, is getting her start on the boat. She must prove herself if she wants to realize her dream and explore more distant lands. Clémentine, 30, host, has only one week to make sure that Aurélien, a young host recently arrived, will do the trick for the season. In the kitchen, Xavier, 45, came to replace the sick chef. He must take up residence in this new space and send 120 covers twice a day.

All will have to manage the daily life and desires of their cruise passengers, meetings with the local population, to make this week an exceptional moment.
