FRONT LINE VETS. SO1-EP3 | Véto de choc | W9

Their job: saving lives and responding to emergency calls. In France, 17,000 vets work day and night.

From tiny lapdogs to prim’holstein cattle weighing over a ton, by way of boars or iguanas, they are often obliged to carry out emergency interventions in order to aid animals in distress. And often, to reassure their owners, breeders or carers…

From the North to the South of France, we followed the eventful daily round of the men and women who speed to the assistance of animals. Performing a caesarian to bring seven puppies into the world or operating on a lizard’s stomach… Missions as surprising as they are unpredictable for these most extraordinary heroes. Aymeric, 42, a vet in Corsica, is a unique case on the island. From his clinic in Ajaccio… to the streets of tiny villages and paths in the brush. This volunteer firefighter covers the whole of southern Corsica.

Amneville Zoo. For two years, Adeline has been adapting in emergencies to extremely varied patients, from feathered birds to furry primates.

Near Montpellier, gendarmes and association prepare for a large-scale operation: recover dozens of cats shut up in an apartment. For three months, we followed the heroes who save our animals.
