In 1994 Rwanda was subjected to the fastest genocide in the 20th century: 800,000 Tutsis were massacred in barely three months by the ethnic majority Hutus following the in-flight destruction of President Habyarimana’s plane. The two ethnic groups nurture an ancestral hatred. Sixteen years after the events, the Rwandan and International justice systems have tried and condemned many of those responsible. But how many are still at liberty?
