HAITI : THE SURVIVORS | France 3 | Hors-Série

On January 12, 2010 an earthquake of magnitude 7 on the Richter scale rocks Haiti. There are thousands of dead and total chaos reigns over the island. The international community is swift to mobilize to bring aid to the survivors of the disaster. However, daily existence is extremely painful for those who escaped. Like that of Jeff, 25, who hopes to get to the Dominican Republic with his mother, sister and two nephews. Lacking the resources, their journey is cut short and the family moves in with friends in the north of the island. We also meet Evelyne Louis Jacques, head of the Our Lady of the Nativity nursery, an orphanage where nearly 120 children were awaiting adoption by French families just before the earthquake.
