In France, there are about 80,000 delivery people. By bike, scooter and even scooter, they ride day and night, for a few euros per race, and turn into convicts of the bitumen. 98% of these delivery drivers are men. Most choose, often out of obligation, the status of auto-entrepreneur. A system that offers them total freedom. On the other hand, it is difficult for them to earn a decent living, unless they take all the risks and work like madmen. And almost impossible to have good social coverage. The magazine’s journalists found that many of these delivery men were undocumented and therefore working illegally, without any insurance.
