HUGO AND EMMA, BATTLING FOR THEIR LIVES | M6 | 66 minutes
Hugo and Emma are only children, but their days are already numbered. Both brother and sister are affected by Type B Sanfilippo syndrome. This is a rare neurodegenerative disease that gradually damages the brain. For the moment, neither child is presenting symptoms, but very quickly they will lose all their abilities: motor function, language and even hearing. The only way to save them is to operate directly upon the brain and as quickly as possible. A clinical trial way be on the way, but for that to happen, Alicia and Julien, Hugo and Emma’s parents, need to raise 4 million Euros. These parents told us their moving story: one of a battle for life.
