On November 23 2009 the Hymer France company, based in Alsace and which makes camper-vans and caravans, filed for bankruptcy. Production is to be moved to Germany, near the company’s HQ. For the 190 employees in Alsace the news comes as a shock. So they decide to fight, to force management to reverse their decision. Will they succeed? How far will they go to make their voices heard? For six months we followed the day-to-day struggle of the workers, haunted by the spectre of unemployment and insecurity, right into the heat of negociations with the managers. A documentary that illustrates one single reality stemming from the crisis, but also a representation of the slow dismantling of the fabric of French industry.
