He claims to be very different from the false miracle-workers who abuse the credulity and distress of their clientele. In the world of divination, the latter are prolific. At the age of 74, Martine was going through a difficult period of bereavement and separation. The pensioner then fell into the clutches of a pseudo clairvoyant who, in the space of two years, stole over 120,000 euros from her. Amanda, on the other hand, is facing a combination of financial and professional difficulties. The witchdoctor, who promises to remove the 30-year-old’s financial problems, instead steals 7,000 euros from her and tries to extort flat-screen TVs and the latest smartphones from her. Although the dishonest marabout stops harassing her after a few weeks, the same cannot be said for Sophie, a banker under his spell, who is caught up in a downward spiral that may well land her behind bars…
