PHILIPPINE : THE STUDENT CAUGHT IN A TRAP | Enquêtes criminelles | W9

Her murder shocked the whole of France. On Friday September 20, Philippine, a 19-year-old economics student, was having lunch with friends at the Paris-Dauphine university restaurant. She left the restaurant at around 2pm. It was the last time she would be seen alive.
That afternoon, she was due to visit her parents in Saint-Quentin en Yvelines, but never arrived. Her relatives reported her missing and set out to find her.
The next afternoon, her body was found half-buried in the Bois de Boulogne. But who had attacked the young woman?
After 3 days of tracking, a suspect was arrested in Geneva. The man’s name is Taha Oualidat, a 22-year-old Moroccan national. And he is well known to the police. Sentenced to 7 years’ imprisonment for a rape committed in 2019, he was released in June 2024. More importantly, he was under an obligation to leave French territory.
