“Yes I killed for pleasure, I like to kill…” These words are those of a recidivist murderer. At what point can one know whether this is a man responsible or not for his actions? What to do with such a man, what sort of imprisonment is planned, what kind of care should he have: prison or psychiatric hospital? One percent of French criminals are judged to not be responsible for their acts, primarily because of insanity. We went into the heart of one of the psychiatric hospitals which handles this murderous madness on a daily basis.
