SOSPEL, THE VILLAGE CUT OFF FROM THE WORLD | M6 | 66 minutes
On April 14 last, at seven in the morning, 200,000 m3of rock slid off a mountain and carried away part of the road leading to the hamlets of the village of Sospel in the Alpes-Maritimes. Since then, the 40 residents have been cut off from the world, right in the middle of the Côte d’Azur! They are forced to go to work or fetch supplies on foot, using an old, steep hunting path. Every three months, helicopter relays are organized to transport heavier items and materials. Nearly one year on, how are the stranded of Sospel coping while construction work on a new access road has still not begun?
