STRASBURG: THE RESISTANCE FAIR | M6 | 66 minutes
The Strasburg Fair is the first large sales gathering of the autumn. Other competing September fairs have been cancelled or pushed back because of the Covid-19 pandemic. In other words, it has raised the banner of resistance. So, the organisers have invested to reassure the health authorities: disinfection stations, cameras to permanently monitor visitor numbers and security agents to ensure protective measures are observed. Exhibitors are also on their toes because they all fear that this fair may be the last of the season. Laurent, who hawks robot window-washers arrives from Paris with a knotted stomach because he has no idea if his spiel while wearing a mask will have the same impact on visitors. Others are at a turning point in their careers. Philippe and Jean-Phi are re-launching the Strasburg knack in an original form. And Dominique, well, she is gambling on juice extractors after spending twenty years selling jewellery. Who will do well? Will the visitors turn up?
