They are young and pretty… but the words of their songs are of incredible violence.. For several years, the band, The Brigandes, has been the trump card of a minor group with reactionary ideas. Behind the stardust, the artists have a very peculiar life style: they live in a community, withdrawn in the Herault department. The patriarch of this group with sectarian leanings, Joel Labruyere is a man with a murky past. Well know to State services and the Miviludes anti-cult department, he is now starting to concern villagers in the Salvetat. Those who dare stand up to the extremists pay the price in threats and intimidation.This week the Nouvel Obs is publishing an investigation into the Brigandes. A woman reporter has gathered some new and sensational reports: the cult could be responsible for the death of one of its followers.
