Monday, May 2 2005, the police station at Aigues-Mortes in the Gard… it’s around 3pm when a police officer receives a call that is strange to say the least. On the line is an anonymous informant who claims that a young woman will die in a few hours. The informant explains that a couple is sitting at a table on the terrace of “L’Escale” bar in Aigues-Mortes and that the police must act fast because the man with the pretty young woman is armed and dangerous. Investigators rush to the scene. Only they cannot find anyone corresponding to the description given by the informant. There’s a twist in the case 3 days later. A man calls the police to report the disappearance of his partner. Elodie Morel. 1m55, 48 kilos, a pretty young woman with a 4 year-old son whose dream is to become a model. And, according to her boyfriend, Elodie told him she had a meeting in a café, several days earlier with the director of a casting agency whom she had contacted via an advertisement on the Internet. Is Elodie Morel the young woman who was supposedly going to die according to the police informant? Was she the victim of an Internet trap? Who is the man she had the meeting with?
