THE MAUREEN JACQUIER CASE: A KILLER AMONGST THE WORKMATES? | Enquêtes criminelles | W9
On February 27 2015, Maureen Jacquier, 19, fails to turn up for work. And that’s not like her because this your aeronautics engineer loved her job. A few months earlier she had been hired at the Airbus site in Toulouse and for her to gain a place in an almost exclusively male environment was the achievement of a dream! But it may also have been her doom because it is thought that she met her killer at her work place… On the night of her death, it is her parents who discover her in her apartment, her body pierced with 62 stab wounds. With no evidence of a break-in and given the passionate nature of the crime, investigators look into those who knew her and they compile an impressive list of suspects from amongst her workmates. They all share a common factor: this young woman turned their heads. So, which one, from among the jealous ex-boyfriend, the best friend secretly smitten or the man who recently shared her life, could have attacked the girl of their dreams? And what if, despite appearances, they were all innocent? Three months after Maureen Jacquier’s death, a DNA sample is identified at the crime scene. An event that turns the investigation upside down…
