Transsexuals – Camille and Monica: the forbidden marriage | TF1 | Le Droit de savoir
They fell in love at first sight. They want to marry, but the mayor of their town, Rueil-Malmaison, in the western suburbs of Paris, is opposed. For the Public Records Office, Camille and Monica are men. In everyday life, they are two women, even if one of them still has a man sex. Camille, a tall red-hair and blue eyes person, is a transsexual who had an operation six years ago. Monica, a Latin bomb, is a transvestite of Argentinian origin. In theory, their marriage is possible, since Camille is a woman, and Monica, a man. But Patrick Ollier, mayor UMP (Union for a Popular Movement, a French right-wing) of Rueil-Malmaison, is still opposed. Our crew followed Camille and Monica’s preparations for marriage and their fight to try to raise the legal obstacles.
